SD cards and follow-up SDHC have become the common standard of digital products in essence. Now, its promoters hope to expand the use of the SD card. SD Card Association (SDA) has announced the embedded SD standard will formally enter into the embedded memory market e in November this year.
With the standard, cell phones, digital products and various input and output peripheral in the built-in storage space, can directly use standard SDHC Interface Specification, the highest 32 GB embedded flash memory. Again through the traditional external SD card interface, it can continue to increase the 32 GB SDHC card mobile storage. For the designers of digital products, such standards can greatly simplify their storage systems in the design of the work, help reduce development costs and shorten development time.
Embedded SD standard includes: Fully compatible with SDHC (SD 2.00) Interface Specification; At the same time support the 3.3 V or 1.8 V power supply; Embedded SD flash memory can be activated to start the operating system; Flexible zoning mechanism can be divided into a number of different functions districts in the embedded SD Memory; Protection mechanism, give different physical read, write, erase authority to each district; Data robust mechanism, may set to the Physics Division to ensure the accident brownout immunity, and protect critical data; Power-saving sleep mode, may optimize the allocation of power saving power consumption to extend battery life.
SDA said that the first digital equipment with the embedded SD standard memory structure will be introduced in November, but at the moment there's no specific news from any company. |
