In recent years, China's auto industry is developing rapidly, attracting the attention of the world, and the level of China's automotive technology also increases year by year. However, few people have noted that in some specific areas, the development of China's car is still very slow; even there are many blank spots. For example, the current situation of automotive electronics is not optimistic. Experts concluded that: in this field, China and the world's advanced level is not in narrowing the gap, but gradually widening.
At the conference "China Automotive Industry Development Blue Book 2008", organized the other day, Fu Yuwu, executive vice president and general secretary of China Automotive Engineering Society trotted out this point to the media. He said that this is found after a lot of Engineering Society Organization experts seriously study.
According to the introduction, ordinary people's understanding of automotive electronics, mostly are anti-theft system, automotive GPS, radar car thefts, car stereo, remote locking, and so on. Experts explained that this is not entirely consistent with the real automotive electronics concept. In fact, automotive electronics, including two parts: one which has nothing to do with the vehicles of the automotive electronic devices; another category is automotive electronic control devices, including electronic fuel injection system, ABS, and so on. By contrast, the latter technology is more complex, more sophisticated, and more crucial. But the domestic automotive electronics are mostly the former; the level of manufacturers is uneven with very few outstanding. On the vehicle's power as the engine and gearbox electronic control, domestic enterprises have no involvement.
Professor Yuan Dahong, from Automotive Engineering Department of Qinghua University believes that in the automotive manufacturing machinery, there is certain national basis, but to China's auto industry, automotive electronics is a completely new field. The late 1980s, China only started research and development work in this area, therefore, compared with foreign advanced level, the gap is very large. |
