To Avoid Selfish Departmentalism during Management

In the recent period, some leaders like to raise the difficult problems when meeting, to allow everyone to study how to solve the problem.

By observing that, it is generally classified into the folling cases:
1. Sometimes the material is collected and written by assistants, department spokesman has no time to read but get a direct discussion at the meeting;
2. The raised issues are all about other departments on how to better cope with his own department, there are many problems in other departments.
3. On the delayed incident, do not raise his own responsibility but only treat as others'  fault resulting in his delay.
4. Do stress the delayed reason is to save department cost and other sililar at the meeting. Then who will charge for the credibility of the company and the losses of customers?

In fact, the reason is very simple, with departments dealing with a matter, as long as each department does his best on handling customers and business goal, then even if a temporary problem happens again, I believe it can be resolved through consultation in the first time. However, if the departments are only at their own point to view the matter, then the collaboration difficulty among the departments will substantially increase, while some small problems become intractable problems and even result in the Cold War among the departments! In fact, the enterprise is the ultimate victim, not the problem department.

At the same time, it also has a focus on the ways to handle the problem, not always to emphasize a comprehensive system to solve the problem, but ignore the most urgent task before us, nor to just deal with the issues at hand without considering how to improve the system structure; take the necessary preventive measures to avoid recurrence of similar incidents.

So we need to remind the management cadres, in addition to managing the department, on collaboration with other departments, to get out of departments and to look at the company level, so it will be easier to solve the problem, which is also the fundamental for enterprise to be large and strong.
