Bluestar Technology has the auotmotive electronic institute, which belongs to provincial enterprise technique centre. Now it has five departments: software R & D dept, hardware R & D dept, structure-designing & technique dept, product dept, and technology- supporting dept. Meanwhile, it has many labs, such as environment test for onboard product lab, inserted hardware development lab, GPS application lab, high performance joint service lab, etc, and it has a professional R & D team.

| Automotive engineering department of Qinghua University |
| Qinghua University automotive engineering department (presently named vehicle project department) is one of glorious historical subjects in our country and Qinghua University belonging to the airplane and automotive engineering group which was set up in the mechanical engineering department, engineering institute, QinghuaUniversity in 1932, and it has been more than 70 years' history by now. When the majors of the national institutes of higher learning were adjusted in 1952, the earliest automobile major in our country was set up in the power generating department, Qinghua University, then it was renamed the truck major, established the truck educational research group and the truck engine educational research group, and started to construct the automobile laboratory, completed in 1958 with the automobile building. |
| HUST colony and network, the key laboratory in Hubei province |
| It's the first key laboratory in province level or above on the domain of colony and network, which was established together by the country high performance data processing center (Wuhan), the network center in Central China of Chinese education and scientific research computer net, and the computer technology center of HUST, IBM, based on the "internet and colony computer center", built by the lab director, professor Jin Hai, who returned to homeland in the end of 2000. |
